OPORD - Mission Breach (Co-op)
A. With word of US Forces arriving in the next few days, The Islamic State of Karzim and Yafar (ISKY) forces have pressed into the capital and International Airport in Mahabi. They intend to block all possibility of US Forces getting a foothold in the country. Karzim friendly forces are scattered and fighting in cells to repel the overwhelming enemy forces.
B. Friendly Forces
1.1st Batt, 2nd BCT, 3rd Infantry Div. (3rdID)
2. Karzim National Defense Forces (KNDF)
A. US Forces are not due to arrive till 000027MAR2018 and ISKY Forces are well aware. 3rd Infantry Division Spartans are being inserted via helo into the airfield to secure the airport terminal. Other elements are being deployed around the airfield to help further secure for main US Force.
The mission for Spartans is to secure the terminal from all hostile forces and prepare security to receive the main US Force. Counter attack is possible so security is paramount after clearing the AO.
A. Commander's Intent
3rd Infantry Division is to secure the airport terminal and surrounding airfield buildings.

Phase I: Planning

Ends: Friendly forces initiate setup of assault on 200026MAR2018
During: Planning and rehearsals

Begins:Friendly forces initiate deployment protocols on 200026MAR2018
Ends: Hostile forces have been cleared from the Airport
During: Secure area
Phase III: Consolidation and Reorganization
Begins: Area Secured
Ends: 100% accountability
During: Consolidate casualties, restock on classes of supply, and gain 100% accountability of men, weapons, and equipment
3rdID is to insert at the airfield, take the airport terminal, and to secure/ prepare for a counter attack.

Purposes of ROE
The Rules of Engagement provide parameters within which the unit commander must operate in order to accomplish his or her assigned mission or operation.
Rules of Engagement may regulate the unit commander to what weapons types or military tactics are acceptable in his or her mission or operation.

Inherent Right of Self-Defense: Every unit during an operation has the right to defend themselves against an hostile act or hostile intent
You must positively identify (PID) that the person you are shooting is actually an enemy and not a non-combatant or friendly
