For the last 242 years, America’s Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines have fought and died for this great Nation.

Fending off the British, defeating the Nazis, and liberating the world from the terror of Osama bin Laden.

On May 30th, 1868 General John Logan called for this day to be a day where we remember our fallen service members.

So take this day and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, happy Memorial Day and Memorial Day Weekend 3rd Infantry, Hooah!

We remember the ones who fell because they gave all they had.

We remember the ones who survived because they often paid a bitter price.

We remember our allies, because we stood side by side in the hour of need.

We remember those who waited at home for us, because they served their nation too.

We remember among our enemies those who fought with honor, because they were worthy adversaries.

We pray for those who will serve in the future; may their hand be steady. May their aim true. May they serve with honor. May they come back safe.
