      Field Training Exercise #9
      Situation
This week 1st Platoon will be tasked with capturing an enemy commander while disrupting enemy operations in the area.

      Mission
For this weeks mission 1st Platoon needs to capture Major (Майор ) Evgeni Orlov. He is believed to be responsible for commanding the enemy heavy assets in this area, his capture and subsequent interrogation will allow us to better prepare for or even eliminate enemy heavy armor assets.
The MAJ is know to be staging his operations out of Camp Crystal Lake. Due to the area being heavily reinforced as it is we need to avoid the possibilities for reinforcements as much as we can. Luckily for us the main communications station is rather exposed after last weeks exercise.
OBJ Wave and Camp Crystal Lake need to be hit at the same time, unfortunately both OBJ are not within reach of our ground assets as all roads towards the OBJs are heavily patrolled and mined. The MAJ is know to run away at the first signs of heavy conflict in the area. Both OBJs need to be hit at the same time, less we risk the MAJ escaping or the enemy calling for reinforcements.
OBJ Rain is an enemy forward position. The town is know to contain an enemy motorized platoon, complete with it's support elements (Scouting detachment and logistics element/squad). They appeared to be dug in but not fortified. This platoon seems to be composed of mostly older model transport vehicles. While we have not seen the command vehicle it is expected for it to be a BMP-2K as per standard doctrine.
Camp Crystal Lake a heavily fortified camp. While the personnel there are not expected to exceed two squads there are likely going to be stationary emplacements and reinforced positions. If we are unlucky a minefield might be surrounding the camp. This being a position of strategic importance a QRF force most likely is going to be close by.
OBJ Metal is an armor resupply/repair station. This is where the MAJ stages most of his assets from. While it is believed that whatever is stationed at this camp is not in a combat state we can never be sure. A safe estimate is to believe a section of MBTs to be ready for battle, while additional ones could be scrambled if the enemy becomes desperate enough. Last week 2nd and 4th Squad a T-80UK. The tank fled and is most likely lurking in the area. It should be very lightly damaged if at all.
OBJ Wave is the enemy communications site. While lightly guarded it is of importance. Most likely the same QRF station to guard Camp Crystal Lake would respond here as well. The position has very light fortifications, comprised of barbed wire and sandbags.
OBJ Eyepatch is the enemy AA site. It is comprised of a section of ZSU-23-4 Shilka vehicles equipped with radar and quad 23mm anti-air cannons. The site was disabled by D-Squadron during our last mission. unfortunately we cannot guarantee it staying disabled for the entire mission. As we an unaware of the state of the AA site, due to D Squadron being KIA before they can deliver their report, S-2 can only say with certainty that the AA site will be disabled until 1525 EST.  While this is believed to be the only AA in the area if the site comes under fire they could pull out some kind of MANPAD. The position while fortified it is not in a state to sustain an infantry assault. The position itself seems to only really be protected against IDF and AA.
OBJ Sky is an enemy artillery position. Most likely the one that has been shelling our forces the past month. It is to be lightly guarded with no more than half a platoon sized element guarding it, tough a command BTR has been seen dug in around on the EAST side of the OBJ.
Additional enemy elements: Unknown QRF, tough them being a QRF means that the element shouldn't consist of anything heavy.
