      Shaping Effort 4
      1: Mission Summary:
With the attack across the Cepice river and the major towns to its north secured, Coalition forces shift their focus on the major radar installation to the East in support of 2BCT. In order to continue the advance North in support of the Coalitions attacks, the Radar Dish and enemy defenses around it need to be taken.

2: Enemy Situation (Area of Interest):
Pori BDE: The Pori BDE has had multiple months to develop defenses within the AO. This area is templated to be heavily fortified all throughout the region and the Pori BDE has been distributed all throughout the AO. Currently the Pori BDE has two organic CV9030 Mechanized BN’s, one attached 24A Tank BN, and one PATGB 360 Motorized BN as their main forces. Additionally they have one Artillery BN (two Batteries of Mobile Howitzers, one Battery of towed Howitzer, and one Battery of Rocket Artillery), one Recon SQDN (three Troops of BRDM-2’s and one Troop of AT BRDM-2’s), one ADA BN (two Batteries of LVKV-90s, one Battery of ZSU-23-4s, one Battery of AA TMs, and one Battery of Towed SAMs), and one SQDN of Air Attack Helicopters (One Troop of Recon, Two Troops of Attack, one Troop of Transport, and one Troop of sUAS). This BDE has extensively been trained by NATO forces in the past on western tactics, so expect their forces to act closer to passive reconnaissance, move and strike tactics and precision fires.
1st Satakunta Jaegers: This BN has now retrograded to their major defensive positions North in the town of Merenice and the wooded areas surrounding it. They have extensive defensive positions and Anti-Tank obstacles that is severely degrading the Swedish Armor Regiments advance.
95th Satakunta Jaegers: Currently this BN has been pushed back to their HQ position of Cernic and are digging in after a devastating blow by Coalition forces. They are establishing their defensive line as much as they can before Coalition forces continue their attack north.
4th Karelia BN: Currently this BN has had multiple weeks to establish defensive positions around an old Early warning military base. They have oriented South with a majority of their forces in preparation of Coalition attacks. We anticipate they have multiple layers of trenches and defensive positions tied in with minefields and obstacles to prevent Armor from advancing.
3rd Pori BN: Currently this BN is considered the reserve of the BDE. Their are tasked to provide combat support in any avenue of approach coalition forces make the most ground in. They have done a great job staying dispersed and have been seen training QRF drills in the AO. Expect them to arrive to any location they are needed within 15 minutes of being called. After the loss of one Company last week acting as a Counter Attack force, we anticipate they will hold their other elements until absolutely necessary against Coalition forces.
The 8th ADA BN and Pori Artillery BN have split their forces up among the maneuver BN’s. That is where we template their current BN’s are at.
13th Air Attack SQDN: Currently they are supporting all maneuver BN’s from the north east Airfield near the BDE HQ. We anticipate their response time is roughly 5-10 minutes of being called into the fight.
Wagner: Wagner forces have shown they are in the area and active in support of the Finnish military. We anticipate them to use light technicals and act as advanced reconnaissance elements. Additionally they may conduct various ambushes as well to help attrite Coalition forces to give Finnish forces more of an upper hand on the Battlefield.

3: Enemy situation (Area of Operation):
For this week we will be supporting 2BCT/ 3rd ID in their attack to secure the area around the Early warning Military base, OBJ Dagger. Our knowledge of the enemy forces in this area is limited but this is what we do know.
B/ 4th Karelia BN: This Company is currently organized with two Platoons of PATGB 360’s, one 2A4 Platoon, One Armored Recon PLT (BMP-2’s), and one Platoon of BRDM-2 9p148 AT Vehicles as their main fighting force. Additionally, they have been supplemented with one Platoon of AMOS Mobile Mortar Systems and one Platoon of ZSU 23-4’s in support of their defense.
A majority of this force is focused on the southern advance from the Coalition armor with light defenses around the actual Early warning Installation. We anticipate they will create a killzone in the Valley with the tanks and a section of ATGM’s and use ambush tactics against flanking forces in the Eastern Woods.

4: Friendly Situation (Area of Interest):
Skaraborg Regiment: The Swedish forces are tasked with consolidating gains from their river crossing. They attempted to push further north but was blocked by a series of minefields, anti-tank obstacles, and ambushes that rendered the remainder of the attack defeated. They have secured the far side of the river and begun to dig in.
2BCT/ 3rd ID: The American forces are tasked to push North to secure the Early warning installation from Finnish forces and to essentially protect the Eastern Flank of Coalition forces. Once they secure the Eastern Flank, Coalition forces can continue north to drive a wedge into the remainder of the Pori BDE’s forces.
1-2 IN: War Eagles Company will be in support of the attack at the Early Warning installation in the East. B/1-2IN and C/1-2IN will hold defensive positions along the northern portion of Rabi and Budetice as Coalition forces focus on the Eastern advance.

      5: Company Mission:
War Eagles will attack to secure OBJ Dagger during 2BCT’s attack North NLT 04 AUG IOT remove Command and Control from the Finnish Defensive forces. On Order, War Eagles will establish a checkpoint at OBJ Longbow to prevent enemy counter-attack forces from spoiling 2BCT’s attack and conduct a Movement to Contact from north to south in Area Messer to defeat the remainder of the Finnish Ambush positions as 2BCT moves north.

      6: Tasks to Subordinate Units:
      A) Widowmakers:
Attack OBJ Dagger, Report to Company Leadership when the attack commences and when it is secured. Establish a Checkpoint at OBJ Longbow to prevent enemy QRF from spoiling 2BCT/ 3rd ID’s attack Conduct a movement to contact to clear Area Messer. B) Griffins:
Conduct a hasty Area reconnaissance to identify enemy Battle Positions at OBJ Dagger. Once complete transition to the route recon and Area Recon of the woods surrounding the valley to plan CAS strikes. Conduct a route Reconnaissance from OBJ Dagger to OBJ Longbow that avoids the enemy defensive positions IOT allow Widowmakers to establish the Checkpoint as soon as possible. Conduct a Zone Reconnaissance to identify ambush positions in Area Messer. C) 3CAB:
Provide Close Combat Aviation for Griffins and Widowmakers as they conduct offensive operations. Provide Close Combat Aviation of identified enemy Battle Positions in support of 2BCT/ 3rd ID’s attack.
      7: Additional Resources:
      A) Artillery/ Mortars:
Currently Coalition forces have a Battery of Paladins in support of Company operations for this week. They have already allocated a total of 4 fire missions in support of the operation. Additional requests will be on a case by case scenario. One HE mission is planned to land on the Early Warning Installation and will be coordinated to be shot in support of the Attack on OBJ Dagger. B) Detection Assets:
There is currently no Counterfire radars available in the AO at this time. There is currently an Air Detection Radar on station and in support of operations. Coalition forces have allocated us one 30 minute period in which we can activate this radar in support of our operation. C) Air to Surface Assets:
There is currently two CAS strikes aligned to this mission in support of 2BCT/ 3rd ID’s attack. These targets will be planned by Griffin Platoon of the enemy’s ATGM or Tank positions in their Killzone of the Valley.
      8: Rules of Engagement
Enemy uniformed personnel are free to engage within the assigned AO. Any engagements outside of the Company AO must be approved by Company leadership. No indirect fires (IDF, Aerial, and Mk19) within 250 meters of any building unless confirmed there is no civilian presence or approval from Company leadership. These restrictions are lifted on OBJ Battering Ram, OBJ Glaive, and Area Battle Axe.
Civilian allegiance is split on the island. Some favor the Finnish Militaries recent actions while others condemn it. If you interact with civilians, attempt to obtain knowledge of town allegiances in the AO, this will allow us to identify which areas will be friendly or hostile to Coalition forces.
Due to limitations of supply into the region, Hellfires overall have been limited whatever is available in the Apache once it takes off. Over use of the munitions has begun to take strain across the entire front.
Due to Finnish operational level Air Defense Assets in the region, all military aircraft will be held to 1500 meters AGL or less. If they break that altitude they can be at risk of engagements from operational level Air Defense.
