    Objectives

[x] Clear the city at OBJ Rotunda from GSIM

[ ] Clear 2 tribal camps at OBJ Door & OBJ Window

[x] Clear GSIM stronghold at OBJ Column and secure intel

    Accidents

    N/A

    Areas of Strength

    • Elimination of enemy vehicles before they could do significant damage.
    • Conserving and redistributing supplies ensured the pressure on the enemy despite being low on ammo and medical supplies.
    • Despite having a lot of wounded, the MCI rate was fairly low, allowing squads to continue their taskings while medical personnel assist from the back line.

    Areas of Weakness

    • Overall organization could be better, squad leaders should communicate more with each other to provide fire & maneuver.
    • Squads need to ensure 360 security, especially with the dense jungle around the objectives, and always watch their flanks and rears.
    • Bunching up in buildings is a quick way to a squad wipe. When breaching buildings, split up in smaller teams and have some hold security from the outside.

    Suggested Improvements

Knowingly having more objectives than the platoon can handle is not really a problem, however, marking them already makes it seem like we keep on failing the final objectives. Our suggestion is to know about these objectives beforehand but not communicate them in the warnord or during the brief, instead, having them come through LR 30 in case the platoon is ahead of schedule.

    Mission Summary

First platoon was air lifted to an LZ roughly 800 meters south of the first objective. The noise of the helicopters attracted some GSIM patrols in the forest, but those were swiftly dealt with. There was a small hamlet on the way which they identified as friendly. The local village elder gave valuable intel regarding the surrounding area and with that, the platoon started the assault on OBJ Rotunda.

The fighting was slow and intense. There were multiple enemy APCs and IFVs roaming the area. Widowmakers quickly went through their ammo and medical supplies. Despite all this, they slowly creeped through the town, going door to door, and managed to prevail. Eventually when the objective was clear enough, resupplies were brought in and the platoon had a moment to catch their breath. Not for long though, because OBJ Column was next.

OBJ Column was already heavily bombarded by 3cab by the time we got there. Widowmakers went in and searched through the rubble for any remaining survivors as well as the intel that we were coming for. Unfortunately, most of it was buried by collapsed buildings. Widowmakers were only able to secure a minimal amount of intel which will make it harder to locate "the chief" and the US Army hostages.

    Overall Sentiment

INDIFFERENT - unable to secure valuable intel at OBJ Column and unable to clear OBJ Door & Window. Despite there being room for improvement, we should be content with the accomplishments.
