  • Mission Patrol #12

    Start: 09/11/22 19:00
    End: 09/11/22 21:30

    Situation

During the combined arms assault on Boriana Airbase last week, Soliders of First Platoon discovered Russian plans to invade Lithuania from Kaliningrad. Russian Army units from the Western Military District forces have been confirmed moving from St. Petersburg to Kaliningrad over the past week. Although it is uncertain whether Moscow plans to invade or this is simply a deception operation, NATO is taking the threat seriously.

Lithuania’s military forces are on 100% alert. Turkey has sent another mechanized infantry battalion to Panthera, and Canada has deployed forward elements of the 2nd Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group to a NATO joint base south of Kaunas.

During the air assault, Wagner Group reinforcements counterattacked Boriana several times from the north. Although enemy forces and capabilities are certainly diminished as a result of our operations, clearly there are other Wagner Group elements operating on Panthera. Locating and destroying these remaining enemy forces has been made high priority.

    Mission

First Platoon is tasked with patrolling the area north of Boriana Airbase to locate remaining Wagner Group and Russian separatist forces operating there. Convoy to Patrol Area CRAG and sweep the mountains for enemy personnel, positions, and equipment. Destroy these targets accordingly.

Note POI Nook and POI Cranny, where enemy presence is suspected due to signals and photo intelligence consistent with separatist activities. These points may have been used for the Wagner Group counterattack last week.

Evidence of Russian Armed Forces presence in country must be documented and handed over to S-2. If the invasion plans are legitimate, there is a high potential that Russian advance elements could attempt to infiltrate Panthera.

3CAB is ordered to provide to scout, CAS, insertion/extraction, and resupply sorties as needed. Provide as much aerial reconnaissance of the northern MSR and Patrol Area CRAG prior to Oscar Mike.
