    Welcome {soldier_rank} {soldier_name} to the 3rd Infantry Division Realism Unit.

    You are assigned to the following combat duty station:

    Unit: {soldier_combat_unit}

    Position: {soldier_combat_unit_position}

    Leader Assigned: {soldier_supervisor}

    First of all, on behalf of the 3rd Infantry Division, I welcome you to the unit! I'm John LaFlash, Unit Commander. I started as a Private Trainee just like you with the 3rd Infantry Division way back in May 2006, hell before some of you were born... Over several years of hard work, dedication, and motivation I have reached my current role as your unit commander. Now you have been selected and passed/ will be passing through the selection by our recruiters known as New Soldier Orientation (NSO) to be part of our unit and get trained into being a professional soldier in the ranks of the 3rd Infantry Division. Being a soldier in this unit is not a "silly" walk on ice. Being part of this unit means that you will at all times act, behave, and professionally treat other soldiers/individuals. You represent the rest of your fellow soldiers at all times, in and outside of the battlefield.  If you haven't already, I would head over to our About Us area and truly see why we do the things we do.

    How can I help the 3rd Infantry Division Realism Unit today?

    A quick way you as a new or returning soldier can help our unit is by heading over to our TikTok and  YouTube page and hitting that subscribe/follow bottoms as well as "thumps up" on any recent videos! You can also be sure to vote everyday day on Clanlist for our unit which is a requirement for you to continue being promoted within our unit as there is prerequisites for the amount of votes you need.  Under your website Profile, you can see how many votes you have in the last 30 days, Your account is tracked up to two votes per day when you vote on clanlist by click on the  image.png in the upper right corner of our website.   Lastly another way to help the unit is by liking and following on our Facebook page  and Twitter/X page and interact with our posts!  These are all free ways all soldiers within the unit can help keep the unit in great standing within the gaming communities.

    What does the unit expect from you?
    Being part of a realism/milsim unit is not what many internet players typically think of. Being part of a clan is a walk on ice, where you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. Just have fun. But, being part of a realism/milsim unit is much more than that! In here you are not a player, you are a Soldier! You will be expected to be respectful, professional, realistic, and act like it's a real thing! Our realism is everything here, if you are unable to follow your commitment, we welcome you to submit a discharge request. But if you want to be a part of a high-speed team that is committed to the military simulations within gaming then your int the right place.  If you are committed then I expect a lot from you, activity, holding yourself accountable, and wanting to be the best version of yourself you can be.  We will train you how to act professionally, and how to show pride in yourself and your unit. We will teach you leadership traits that go further than the online world, traits you can take back to your real-world life and apply to give yourself a success.

    What can you achieve in the 3rd Infantry Division?
     You can achieve whatever you want in this unit! Your only limitation is your imagination and motivation. If you want to lay down effort, get promoted up the chain of command, take on the role of a leader, take the lead of a squad and/or a DMOS, this unit is also for you. If you show the unit that this is what you want, and you lay down a little effort, you will be granted better positions/roles. If you want to be that famous soldier everyone is talking about, all this is possible, you are the one who decides how your service in this unit will be.

    How can I prepare myself for my time in the 3rd Infantry Division?
     Your first resource is your Initial Entry Training Packet (IET Handbook). This packet explains several topics to get you up to speed with our day-to-day operations within the 3rd Infantry Division.  We also have several New Soldier Training modules that you can participate in to help build your knowledge to become a better soldier within the 3rd Infantry Division. These modules will be required to be completed to advance onto leadership roles within the unit. So it's good to start now!

    How can I apply for a Duty MOS (DMOS) position?
     After graduation from Basic Combat Training (BCT), you will be promoted to the rank of Private Second Class (PV2) or Private First Class (PFC) depending on your qualifications. Either way, when you reach the rank of PFC, you will be able to apply for a Duty Military Occupational Specialty (DMOS)  To be in a DMOS is a requirement to achieve the rank of E-4, Specialist.  So upon graduation from your basic training, it would be wise to hit up those forums.

    Work hard, play hard, and collect your success!

    I know being the new guy or the "Rookie" might be a challenge for some. If you're new, and may not know that much of the military life, tactics, gameplay, etc... Everyone in this unit is willing to try and tell you how it's done! Don't be afraid, even people that struggle make it past our training program.

    Take note of the following:
    Show respect, to command staff, they are the bread and butter of this unit and will decide your faith as you progress through. Your time here will be well worth it.

    If you can do all these steps, you will do just fine!
     If there is anything on your mind, anything you want to ask, feel free to contact me, your unit leader.

    Signed,
     Major John LaFlash
