  2. "The Battle of Chernogorsk" WARNORD 29 MAY 20 1. SITUATION A group of elite 3rd Infantry Division Soldiers has been stationed in Chernarus with the US Army 5th Security Force Assistance Brigade. As part of Advisor Team “Bulldog” from A-CO, 1st PLT “Widowmakers”, 1-2 IN, 3rdID, you have been instructing Chernarussian Defense Force leaders on the most current US Army infantry doctrine and tactics. Yesterday, over a decade after the October Ceasefire, Russian military forces began a combined arms exercise along the Chernarussian frontier. Pro-CDF newspaper Chernogorsk Noviny reports that over the past 24 hours, citizens have heard and seen Russian aircraft, vehicles, and personnel staging just across the border. At 0000 this morning, a CDF outpost near Pobeda dam was briefly engaged by Russian Spetsnaz forces. A group of friendly armed civilians responded and helped drive back the attacking element, recovering one EKIA. Chernarussians continue to dig in across South Zagoria. 2. MISSION Team Bulldog, attached to the CDF 3rd Mechanized Infantry Brigade, is ordered to assist in the fortification of Chernogorsk. Link up with CDF liaison LT Petr Rimkevic and help complete defenses in his sector of the Factory District. Once complete, remain on high alert and wait for further orders from Battalion. 3. 5. WARNORD 22 MAY 20 1. SITUATION After raiding and killing Gul Mohammed at his compound near Chaman, Knights PLT located intel detailing affiliated Taliban forces in the district. As demonstrated after RTB, local warlords maintain insurgent QRFs prepared to counter US forces effectively. After spending the past week rebuilding the COP, Command has ordered a new offensive operation to counter this threat. HQ confirms that despite its quiet appearance, Bastam is the center of Taliban operations in Takistan. Furthermore, Mahdi Azfaar, imam of Bastam’s Grand Mosque, is reportedly a Taliban operative who shelters and equips insurgents within the mosque compound. He must be taken into custody for questioning. 2. MISSION First PLT is ordered to move to Bastam to secure the Grand Mosque and capture Azfaar. Take all men found within the mosque into custody for questioning by EPW. Seize and destroy any enemy equipment and other contraband. Speed and precision are key to completing this mission successfully. 3. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS (a) SPECIAL TEAMS/TASK ORG 1. 1st PLT “Knights”, A CO, 69th Infantry Division (b) COMMON EQUIPMENT 1. 10. Due to technical problems, last Friday's Fun Op scenario was put on hold. We'll be playing it this week! WARNORD 08 MAY 20 - Operation Enduring Freedom Fun Op 1. SITUATION With the War on Terror in full swing, you have been deployed to Afghanistan as part of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). Your infantry platoon has established a Combat Outpost in Feruz Abad in order to check Taliban influence in the Takistan district. The situation on the ground is becoming desperate. Most of the country has been in chaos since the NATO invasion began several months ago. In spite of the retreat of Taliban forces nationwide, newly seated district governments have been unable to maintain order and provide basic services. Insurgent attacks from various militant groups have increased exponentially, and civilians are often caught in the middle. Taliban warlords also extort the local people for conscripts, food, and cash. The civilian populace lives in a mixture of fear and optimism as western counter-insurgency efforts unfold before them. 2. MISSION 1st Platoon Lead will meet with Farshad Balochi, mayor of Bastam, at his office several kilometers north of the COP NLT 0800 ASAP today. His aide assures us he is extremely concerned with the military and political situations in-country and wants to help us defeat the Taliban. Balochi will offer his insights into the insurgency and possible methods to defeat it. G-2 reports Bastam has been a hotbed of insurgent activity since the start of the war. Gather as much intel as possible and RTB to plan the next phase of operations. 3.
