Awarded: Jul 5, 2026 Signed: Major John LaFlash Record Text During Mission Hurricane of Operation Wet Feet, PV2 Lavinka was instrumental in the Survival of 1st Squad in their fortified positions while in his capacity as a Combat Life Saver. After the Squad was engaged by an enemy BTR, leaving the Squad Medic, Squad Leader and multiple Team members incapacitated, he alone tended to all the wounded in the squad, with little to no Security and with constant enemy fire on his position. He managed to keep 4 wounded Squad Members alive, reviving 2 of them completely and treating newly incapacitated Squad Members. In total he is responsible for the survival of all 6, including soldiers of First Squad at their defensive position, reacting quickly when someone got incapacitated again. Without his quick response and casualty management skills, the Squad would have taken catastrophic losses and would’ve been completely combat ineffective.
