    Mission Summary

    3rd squad "Spartans" air lifted from Airport Lesce flying to LZ Water. Then we moved to the are between hill 128 and hill 130 East of the town of Frovna, from there 3rd squad was successfully direct multiple fire missions towards the enemy hitting infantry at OBJ Bottleneck and hitting additional targets to clear up a pathway for further movement of our squad. Once the rest of the platoon moved through OBJ Bottleneck, 3rd squad moved to their overwatch postion and engaged contacts within the airfield, taking out multiple infantry and armored contacts while the rest of the platoon moved in. Platoon started moving through and took heavy contact, resulting in a mascas and platoon leadership going down. As the senior leader 3rd squad SL took over, and 3rd squad moved down to the airfield to support the rest of the platoon after a brief period the mascas was resolved, 3rd squad reestablished their overwatch on the hill. Shortly after 3rd squad identified 2 enemy hinds and shot down one of them. Åt this point as Viper was hovering, it got hit by an enemy SAM and crashed into the mountainside 1km away. As the closest and most mobile squad 3rd squad loaded up on our stryker that was airlifted in previously and moved to rescue the downed pilots. When we got there we are able  to stabilize one of the pilots and we moved to 2nd squad to  help them with their casualty, and ferried the casualty to the location of their bravo fire team. From there we were ordered to move to our support by fire position and shortly after to move  and secure LZ Gaz. The stryker team was ordered to move and collect the casualties of the other squads and ended up ferrying 2nd squad to the LZ. Then 3rd squad loaded up in the black hawk and moved back to the AO.
