    Objectives

First Platoon "Widowmakers" is ordered to sweep and clear the forest northeast of FOB Murphy and patrol OBJ Kvass (sawmill) and OBJ Putinka (Dubionki). Locate and destroy enemy positions and search for additional intel on Russian forces and movements in the area.

If possible, speak with local civilians, who are known to be predominately ethnic Lithuanians in the objective area. Some individuals may be willing to share information on force movements. With Russian Forces beaten back at Krasnye Seltsy, enemy follow on forces can be expected to seek alternate routes towards Beketov.

3CAB "Falcons" is ordered to support Canadian security operations on the west flank by destroying any Russian artillery sites remaining north of Krasnye Seltsy. From there, Falcons will support First Platoon on the push east to the eastern north-south highway.

    Accidents

    1x Stryker, 2x KIA - SPC S.Wolf, PFC A.Shocked

    Areas of Strength

Good squad and fireteam leadership takeovers, 2IC's and 3IC's automatically step up when the need arise.

Good utilization of infantry and vehicle combination tactics. It is the first time that 4th squad lost our vehicle upon SGT E.Babol's take over on Phoenix leadership.  But thisgoes to show that we could further strengthen our squad combined arms tactics.

    Areas of Weakness

Basic Formations - Formations have to be more re-enforced and formed on the go. As 4th squad "Phoenix" received 4 new team members, this is somehow expected to improve further with more training and practice.

Team members following orders - Team members follow's their FTL but when the 2IC takes over, certain individuals do not properly listen to 2IC commands.

    Suggested Improvements

N/A - The platoon worked together extremely well even under very difficult circumstances. It proves to show that each SL cooperates and functions properly as a one cohesive unit.

    Mission Summary

4th squad "Phoenix" together with the whole platoon stepped off on a Stryker convoy from FOB Murphey towards the northern patrol objective. Upon arriving, 4th squad "Phoenix" together with 1st squad "Scorpions" were tasked to move into unknown encampments just to the north of Sentsy, a town west to the patrol area.

Upon arriving on the location, I sent back my vehicle crew to pickup 1st squad who's stryker was severely damaged on the way to the objective.  As I coordinated between the Stryker team and 1st squad to link up,  I and the whole squad went to observe the unknown encampments just to the north of the town.  Due to how the position of the encampments being on lower ground, 4th squad had no line of sight except for the enemy AA gun protruding.  We were then engaged by the enemy AA and had to pull back until 3CAB is able to bombard the area, the Alpha FTL was then the only casualty who was heavily wounded by the enemy AA fire direct.  We then pushed in and eliminated the remaining enemy soldiers within the area after the bombardment.  At this point, I had my Stryker crew drop off 1st squad near their designated position and instructed the driver to come back to us as the rest of 4th squad "Phoenix" moved on foot towards the patrol starting point.

At this point, 4th squad ran into an enemy drone dropping bombs which produced a few casualties. The 4th squad Stryker then came in, all the wounded prioritized in the stryker followed by all abled bodies. We then swiftly went into the woods to loose the drone's visual on us.  We then reconsolidated and proceeded to administer medical aid within the squad.

After 4th squad was able to get back on full operational capability, we went forward as planned on the patrol. We were then tasked to split the squad for a fireteam to help out 1st squad who are taking heavy fire from a trench that is within the 1st squad's patrol area.  I stayed on the patrol area with the Styker and instructed fireteam alpha to move and assist 1st squad in eliminating the threats in their area of patrol.   the fireteam went on foot and eventually started engaging contacts in the trench when they arrived, but due to more superior firepower coming from the enemy trench, fireteam Alpha suffered multiple casualties which prompted the Stryker team to move and help fireteam alpha pull back.  After pulling back, 3CAB was then ordered to bombard the enemy trench.

As 4th squad reconsolidated and medical aid being administered, a civilian in the woods came up and stated that he had information about an enemy militia encampment. This civilian was Mr. Petros, 27 years old and was a local. He asked money for information that he provided. He was then taken by Platoon leadership as we were tasked to head out and see what was in that encampment.

As fourth squad advanced through the thick forest, we were then met with Russians with superior firepower.  We were unable to pull back as visibility was poor due to the thick forest and were engaging within 100 meters and the enemy was able to wipe out the whole squad as we were just trying to bound back. During this encounter, we lost 1x Stryker and 2x soldiers who were KIA.  The rest were severely wounded and received medical aid from the platoon medic who has done an outstanding job on getting us back up to be operationally capable.

After the squad reconsolidated, we went and moved forward through our patrol area on foot until we reached the staging assault area where we pushed in together with 1st squad. After clearing OBJ Kvass, we then went on and moved forward to establish the SBF position for OBJ Putinka. But, due to the terrain, the SBF was deemed to be not an advantage so therefore, we went in together with the rest of the platoon to clear out the objective sector by sector.

After clearing all sectors, an LZ was established where 3CAB picked up the platoon and headed back to FOB Murphey for debrief.   Overall, both 11B and 68W members within the squad did a great job on supporting each other to the best of their abilities.
