Objectives
Alpha Company is ordered to conduct a combined arms assault on the city of Beketov. In coordination with elements of the Canadian 2nd Mechanized Brigade Group, which is moving to establish blocking positions northwest and west of the city, counter-attack Russian and militia forces in OBJ Steel Shadow. Occupy and secure the city.
NOTE: Company-level authorization is required for CAS inside the objective area (OBJ Steel Shadow) due to risk of collateral damage.

Areas of Strength
- Individual squad role utilization. Each member of the squad knows what their roles and responsibilities are.
- Squad 2IC being able to command the squad effectively, and Fireteams 2IC are effective on their roles when stepping up as well.
Areas of Weakness
- N/A (I believe that there is always something to improve on but, I did not see anything that the squad could improve better from this operation. Each squad member knew what they were doing)

Mission Summary
Widowmakers rolled out from FOB towards the southern city of Beketov. 4th squad "Phoenix" together with the whole platoon moved into and cleared Objective "Iceberg". 4th squad suffered a few casualties but nothing serious as it was due to the open terrain that we moved forward into. 4th squad was then able to quickly clear the South and West parts of the objective.
4th squad then moved towards Objective "Polar Bear" supposedly acting to set up an SBF position but was instructed to move into the town and help clear out. 4th squad was able to clear from South to North of the objective prior to being instructed to move East and secure the Russian motor pool.
Upon 4th squad securing the location, we were then instructed to be the 1st squad to push the bridge towards the West and was then instructed to clear out the rest of the big portion of the Southern city. We were first instructed to make a blocking position towards the South which we did but was later on ordered to sweep the rest of the Southern section of the city.
We have taken major contact and as we were sweeping Southbound taking out the contacts, it lead us straight into Objective "Penguin" which 4th squad Phoenix took out on our own. We were then extracted by 3CAB and moved back to the FOB for debrief.
