    Objectives:

    Defend FOB Silver Shield and eleminate GISM staging point/mortar position.

    Accidents:

    Mass casualties due to enemy IDF. Non-expendable equipment loss: 1x Apache, 2x "Reaper" UAV

    Areas of Strength:

    Quick reaction to enemy assault, overcoming combat stress, PID on mixed enemy/friendly units within the base, platoon assault on the enemy position executed well.

    Areas of Weakness:

    IED/mine detection/avoidance, high casualties due to lack of response to IDF (disperse and lay down), communication breakdowns due to the hectic situation and leadership casualties.

    Summary:

    WarEagles were deployed to US drone base "FOB Silver Shield". After landing, a tour around the base and a quick rest from the long flight they prepped for their first mission. During the brief FOB Silver Shield was breached by an undercover SVBID. Shortly afterwards enemy troops started flooding the FOB and WarEagles took battle positions to repel the attacks.

    After cleaning out the remaining enemies that made it into the base, Alpha Company detected the origin of incoming fire and dispatched Widowmakers to assault it. Widowmakers scrambled whatever vehicles that had fuel/ammo and went out into the dusty plains of Africa.

    On arrival to the suspected mortar location, Widowmakers found themselves in the middle of an IED/mine field. At this point, it was late in the evening and Widowmakers got the night vision advantage. This caused them to steamroll the enemy position and return back to FOB Silver Shield for their first night in the Sahel.
