    Objectives:

Give a visit to the local IED factory (OBJ Hazard) to locate and secure GBU12, eliminate factory garrison

    Accidents:

    WIA: SFC C.Brock KIA: 2LT J.Drake SGT D.Shade

    Areas of Strength:

Organization - Reorganizing went much smoother today, units were able to swiftly mount and dismount. Medical - Medic personnel had plenty of work this mission with an abundance of MCIs and a lot of life was saved.

    Areas of Weakness:

Spacing - Once again, this is a continuous point of weakness. Improper spacing of soldiers and vehicles let to a single RPG wiping out a lot of Widowmakers and equipment. Too many MCIs - Squads need to work on being more protected, using cover, gaining fire superiority. A lot of MCIs slowed down this mission to a grind.

    Suggested Improvements:

Overall consensus was that squads enjoyed the mission.

    Overall Outcome:

    Positive

    Summary:

Widowmakers were airlifted together with 2 strykers into LZ Baguette, from there, they moved into the jungle at RP1. Widowmakers slowly moved north while under attack of enemy infantry as well as indirect mortar fire. Once set up at the phaseline, all Widowmaker elements collapsed onto OBJ Hazard, clearing out the different sections of the factory. When Widowmakers made it close to the factory, a truck was seen leaving the complex. Attempts were made to disable it but due to the risk of it carrying explosive material it was decided to let it go. A central weapons cache was found and a potential suicide bomber was eliminated. Once the entire factory was "deemed clear", Widowmakers regrouped in the center to move to the next objective. Unfortunately it turned out that a corner of the factory was forgotten about and an enemy equipped with an RPG came out and caused a chain reaction of explosives causing a masscass situation. This has been addressed and Widowmakers is going back to marking individual buildings when they are cleared.

Then Widowmakers regrouped, loaded up, and started to move south to OBJ Wippy. On their way there, Widowmakers ran into a well designed enemy roadblock that pretty much set back Widowmakers to square 1 concerning objective Wippy. At the same time, it was starting to get dark and some soldiers did not equip themselves for night combat.

On the second approach, Widowmakers opted to use the open ground to the west and successfully made it to the objective. OBJ Wippy was a walk in the park, most of the garrison was already eliminated when they went to support the factory. Stragglers and guards were taken out. Attempts were made to take POWs but none survived long enough to be extracted.

Overall Widowmakers managed to hit their objectives, unfortunately the EOD team only found 1 of the GBUs so the hunt is on to find that second GBU.
