    Objectives

    OBJ Moth- ENY Fortified Road Block, OBJ Dragonfly- Town with GSIM presence, OBJ Bumblebee- ENY Fortified position

    Areas of Strength

    Squad worked well together, were effective and as a whole ran the entire operation to the best of our abilities. 3CAB did very well today with their engagements with the enemy. Kudos to them for the job well done.

    Areas of Weakness

    Miscommunication and reliance on PLT HQ elements for security led to a squad wipe.

    Suggested Improvements

    Account for security at positions that are occupied by PLT HQ elements so they can move freely in the future.

    Mission Summary

    First led the platoon to the enemy encampment in the mountains and killed off the enemy without any casualties to include a counter attack. From there Scorpions pushed to set up a blocking position and SBF position while Ghosts cleared OBJ Bumblebee. Once it was cleared, First was instructed to move past Ghosts to a target while Ghosts moved past Scorpions to go to the rest of the Platoon. After that First set up a Squad attack on the enemy target with the attached HQ element pulling security to our south while I instructed a team to flank from the north and the final team providing suppressing fire. While we were engaging the target, a miscommunication led to a Squad wipe. The Squad was eliminated due to the exposed flank and ended up respawning back at the mobile respawn where some members came back with no primary weapons. We cross loaded what we could and pushed on to the next OBJ (we did not take any OPFOR weapons during this time, I handed off my M4 and finished the mission with a M17). We were instructed to move to OBJ Moth. Once we reached our position we waited for roughly 10 minutes while one squad pushed to a staging position. Once we took contact First Squad established a blocking position in the north of the OBJ and handled high levels of casualties but remained in the fight. We were then instructed to move through IDF fire to take lead for the Squad to move south. The Platoon then (after being fixed into the killbox by the IDF) were then hit with a near ambush and became more bogged down. The Platoon was then instructed (after 10 min of enduring the Ambush) were instructed to push north and the Squads then moved in a piecemeal fashion north to the start point.
