Objectives
Capture river dockyard and capture EPW/intel (OBJ Order), capture enemy outpost (OBJ Hospitality), and seize unknown enemy position (OBJ Flashbang).

Areas of Strength
1. Concealment: Widowmakers employed heavy white smoke to blind enemy positions and screen movements to contact and assaults, with good effect.
2. Squad assault: Squads divided enemy sectors and successfully attacked through fortified positions in each of the 3 objectives using fires and movements.
3. Leadership transition: Fireteam Leaders and their subordinates assumed command of their respective elements when Squad Leaders were incapacitated; and ASLs communicated leadership transitions to Platoon.
Areas of Weakness
1. Suppression: When suppressing enemy positions, Soldiers must establish and maintain fire superiority, i.e. shoot more rounds at the enemy than he can shoot at you; and even if you don't see any personnel, you can still effectively suppress them and limit movements by firing over and around them.
2. Use of cover: Soldiers must properly utilize cover to survive on Central European terrain; in addition to digging trenches during stops, leaders should plan movements that take advantage of existing cover, e.g. buildings, walls, construction materials, etc.
3. 360° Security: All Soldiers must maintain all-around awareness and security at all times; whether dismounted or mounted, mobile or stationary, take your sector and continuously scan for contacts; and if you let your guard done, expect the enemy to take advantage of that lapse.
Suggested Improvements
First Platoon will train at the Squad and Platoon levels to develop suppressive fires, utilize cover during movements, and maintain all-around security at all positions.
Mission Summary
Deploying to Poland for joint training exercises with the Polish Army's 12th Mechanized Division, First Platoon grabbed its gear and began preparing for training. Tasked with assault 3x objectives east of the river, Widowmakers mounted their Strykers and convoyed north to the bridge adjacent the village of Ripdorf. Linking up with the Polish Army 2nd Motorized "Ore" Squad, First began conducted a bridge crossing. Receiving contact from Ripdorf, Squads used smoke concealment and suppressive fires to limit the enemy's fires and hasten the crossing.
In Ripdorf, Widowmakers began clearing sectors, neutralizing several APCs and a number of enemy infantry. After securing the area, First Platoon staged on the south side of town and began bounding movements toward OBJ Order. The Platoon split into 2 Sections and conducted simultaneous assaults on Sectors 1 and 2. Soldiers seized the docks and a number of enemy vehicles, in addition to clearing buildings.
From there, First Platoon continued south to assault OBJ Hospitality. Due to a number of simulated WIA/KIA, Squads were under-strength, but still able to seize this objective. Once this was achieved, Widowmakers oriented northeast and began movement to the final objective. At OBJ Flashbang, Scorpions conducted the initial breach with Spartans in overwatch. The Platoon collapsed on this objective, seizing an enemy motor pool, and set up security until extracted via helicopter. The mission started at 1500 and ended at 1730. Mission was COMPLETED.
