    Areas of Strength

Squad attendance is sitting at 11-14 every week. Their attentiveness and activity in the Squad Drills is expected to have continued high attendance in the Squad for future events. The pickup of the Squad DUI radar and formations combination was effective and we expect to keep it going in the future. We made an improvement to Squad drills to cut some of the Walk through portion slower and to include theory based instruction more to allow team leaders to make more decisions without explicate directions from the SL. It was received well by the Squad and we will continue to do it for the future.

    Areas of Weakness

We put our 2IC's in as TL's and the TL's switch teams to provide feedback on those TL's they dont usually run under. Overall they did very well (both ready to be TL's in any Squad or unit). They do need to improve their communication more, but running as first time TL's it is expected.

    Suggested Improvements

Continue to train the 2IC's as TL's for potential movements up to the position.

    Mission Summary

Scorpions started with Formation practice both with and without the Stryker involved. We taught everyone how to set up their DUI radar to include range rings to keep good distance in the formations and it paid off well. Once we were done with that we went over the theory and purpose of a Movement to Contact. This explained to the members why we do it and the overall purpose of the drill. We carried it out on a drill with pop-up targets and effectively carried out a movement to contact. From there we went into a live fire range. We used it to ensure the application was carried out well and outside of a low amount of communication between the TL's and myself, we carried out very well.
