    Objectives

First Platoon "Widowmakers" was tasked with locating a missing and possibly lost aid convoy, deliver medical aid to Granichak, speak with the local police commander to obtain intel on enemy forces, and an execute a Platoon Assault on the Livonian position. 3CAB provided support with scouting, transport, and CAS. Alpha Company HQ provided additional support in the field.

    Accidents

    NSTR.

    Areas of Strength

Comms: Elements at all levels within the Company maintained effective communications, ensuring that each was working with each other to sustain the offensive. See note on comms under 'Areas of Weakness'.
CAS: Aviation multiplied ground's combat power through precision CAS.
EPW: First Platoon captured a large number of enemy combatants and suspected conspirators; further exploitation may lead to an intelligence windfall.

    Areas of Weakness

Comms: S-2 and S-4 need to establish standards for use of TFAR radio towers in order to boost signals in the field.
IED: Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel. as long as the vehicle in front of you is good, follow him. And if that vic is disabled, take a wider path around it to get out of the kill zone.
NVG: A significant number of Soldiers did not pack NVGs and were unprepared for a night FTX. Always keep nighttime essentials in your kit, even on a daytime operation. You don't always know exactly how long you'll be out there.

    Suggested Improvements

Company HQ will ensure comms improvements with the appropriate S-Shops. We will also support further training and development of junior enlisted within First Platoon.

    Mission Summary

The FTX ran like a well-oiled machine overall, and there were few support requests to Company HQ. Ground and air elements made good identifications of enemy forces and directed accurate suppressive and point fires onto them. Despite facing Livonian forces greater than twice the size of BLUFOR, Soldiers gained and maintained fire superiority throughout the exercise. Widowmakers conducted a Platoon Assault on OBJ Carthage, eliminating the enemy garrison there and capturing six EPWs for further exploitation by S-2. All objectives were accomplished. Mission was a success.
