    Objectives

    Capture the enemy controller airfield.

    • OBJ Turquoise - main airfield terminal, secure enemy helicopters and potential civilian hostages
    • OBJ Indigo - Defuse bombs set to damage the airfield infrastructure
    • OBJ Azure - Office complex, search for intel
    • OBJ Crimson - later discovered; destroy enemy weapons cache

    Mission Summary

    First platoon split up and used both LZ Tiberius and LZ Octavious for their insert into the AO. Scorpions and Ghosts moved to assault OBJ Turquoise while Spartans and Phoenix took OBJ Indigo. The southern part of the airfield was quickly under the control of our squads with only minor firefights. Enemy vehicles were swiftly destroyed and none managed to cause any significant damage. The bombs in Indigo were defused and the civilian hostages in Turquoise were extracted using LZ Great.

    The platoon then created a smoke screen on the airfield and crossed into OBJ Azure. The platoon was able to cross without any issues and so they continued into the objective with little resistance. The handful of enemies were also no sweat and any traps were spotted before they could cause any harm. The platoon then found a room with quite a bit of intel, suggesting that we caught the enemy while they were moving onto the friendly FOB. It seemed like the noise created by the assault prompted the enemy to turn around and first platoon engaged several squads trickling in from the west.

    With First platoon not really having anything to do at OBJ Azure, 2 squads were sent North West to a newly created OBJ Crimson. And 2 other squads set out on a patrol on the main route heading into the airfield. Ghosts and Phoenix met occasional resistance up to the weapons cache and managed to destroy it. On their way back they crossed paths with a bigger force which did cause some issues, but eventually through perseverance Ghosts and Phoenix regrouped in OBJ Azure. Scorpions and Spartans on the other hand did not meet many enemies and returned from their patrol unharmed.
