    Objectives

    Alpha Company "WarEagles" is tasked with conducting an air assault to seize Antonov Airstrip. A base of operations for Russian Patriotic Union Forces in Tauragé County, this target must be captured to disrupt enemy activities in the coastal region.

    First Platoon "Widowmakers" will form into two sections for the assault at Camp Squires. Alpha section will deploy near Shuvalki dam and destroy Objective Arson, an electrical substation. This must be achieved to disrupt enemy operations at the airstrip. Bravo section will land north of the airstrip and establish blocking positions to prevent an enemy counter-attack on the dam.

    Once Objective Arson is destroyed, Alpha will link up with Bravo to attack Objective Backdraft. Secure the airstrip and prepare for long-term operations.

    Accidents

    A misfortunate series of events led to me SSG C.Winters firing a Stinger surface to air missile at a friendly CH-47 Chinook helicopter. 2nd squad ghosts was ordered to setup a blocking position facing the airport, due to the terrain constraints the decision was made to move up 200-300m closer to the airport. After establishing a fall back position a jet engine of a SU-25 firing up was heard. The FIM-92F was drawn roughly after 30 seconds of the sound was first identified, a brief lock on the SU-25 was established, but the lost briefly due to moving behind trees, attempting to reestablish a lock, the crosshairs of the stinger was moved to the far side of the trees. A lock was reestablished but due to the unfortunate timing the Stinger locked on the friendly CH-47 which just emerged from the same tree line where the initial ping was picked up. Due to the the haze of the the night and NVGs the operator of the Stinger weapon system was not able to correctly identify the shape of the CH-47 in time and the weapon system was fired.

    Mission Summary

    2nd squad Ghosts was airlifted to LZ finger up, and tasked with setting up a SBF position east of POI Tinder. After the position was established a coordinated strike was launched on the POI and it was successfully taken. After this 2nd squad was tasked with setting up a blocking position facing the airport. Due to the constraints of the terrain we moved up 250m towards the airport and established a fall back position. Roughly after 10 minutes an Accident occurred involving a CH-47 Chinook(See Accident section) shortly after we were engaged by a T-80 MBT and a squad of enemies in a pincer maneuver, this attack was repelled and after helping 1st squad with their casualties we were back to operational. Next we were tasked with assaulting the airfield, arriving at one of the entrances we provided accurate fire towards the guard towers and were able to take out the guards and breached the entrance, unfortunately at that point we were stopped dead in our tracks by a T-72 which fired a shell at us and took out a portion of the squad. After 3rd squad took it out and we moved into the the airfield and set up security east where we remained for the rest of the mission.
