  • Mission Sky Dragon

    Start: 10/02/22 19:00
    End: 10/02/22 21:30

    Situation

The tactical situation west of Kaunas has become critical. The southern Russian pincer is overrunning Lithuanian defenses and threatening to steamroll the Canadian 2nd Mechanized Brigade Group garrison outside Krasnye Seltsy. The Canadians have called for reinforcements. If they collapse under the onslaught, the county will fall.

    18th Airborne Corps "Sky Dragons"

NATO has called on the US Army's 18th Airborne Corps "Sky Dragons" to halt  the Russian advance and allow time for friendly forces to rally and couterattack. As part of “America’s Contingency Corps,” 3rdID is leading the airborne assault onto OBJ Thu’um, the city of Krasnye Seltsy. Alpha Company is ordered to defend this objective from Russian armor and infantry forces.

With a steady influx of Russian EPWs on Panthera, S-2 has exploited multiple intelligence sources inside the Russian Western Military District. As of 0000H today, forward elements of the 27th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade were reconnoitering the northern outskirts of Krasnye Seltsy in advance of the 1st Guards Tank Army. Several newly reformed battalions within these elements are green but well equipped with modern T-72/T-80s and BTR-82s.

    Mission

Alpha Company will conduct an airborne drop at DZ Dova, southeast of Krasnye Seltsy (OBJ Thu'um). Once on the ground, First Platoon will rally and move northwest to secure the city. Link up with Canadian 2nd Mechanized Brigade Group forces at Camp Jimmy and defeat the Russian assault moving in from the north. It is essential for operational success that we take the town before the Russians can.
