Situation:
The destruction of the enemy forward operating base (OBJ Red Liver) during mission Desert Hearts has fermented the remaining GSIM commanders. Enemy forces are scrambling and setting up a defensive line between the collapsed cave and what is presumed to be their main fortress in the region. 3CAB is still unable to safely deploy drones over the North-West corner of the area so the exact location of the fortress is still unknown. They have however been able to positively identify 10 GSIM hotspots in the area. Ranging from forward outposts, ammo caches and trading/taxing posts.Mission:
Alpha Company, after a brief rest at their main FOB "Silver Shield", will be deployed to LZ Sunken Rock. Here they will link up with their old, but refurbished, strykers that were used during Desert Hearts. Widowmakers will be tasked with physically visiting these 10 POI's with the goal of extracting intel and POWs to interrogate as well as destroying enemy weapons and diminishing their numbers. The destruction of the POIs will have a direct effect on future efforts in removing the GSIM from the area, weakening their defenses and ability to flank/counterattack. Any intel retrieved will come in handy in finding the exact location of this fortress as well as potential weaknesses in their defenses. Even though civilians have been notified not to enter the area last week, GSIM might still be holding civilians captive, or some refused to leave due to cultural/political reasons therefor the use of explosives must be limited unless a clear view of the area of effect is visible.Intel:
