Situation:
After last week's attempt to gain intel on the main enemy fortress as well as the destruction of enemy forces in the area, the US military has been able to locate said stronghold. The main target, Mokhtar Belmokthar, locally nicknamed "Belaouer", code-name "The One Eyed", was the mastermind behind the attack on the Agadez drone base which lead to the capture of US troops as well as being the trigger of 3rd Infantry Division's deployment. Intel suggests One Eyed was wounded during this assault and is currently still recovering in this fortress, designated objective "Red Hare". For the last 2 months the 3rd Infantry Division has worked towards weakening this stronghold and the surrounding area for a decisive assault. Destroying the fuel depots meant the enemy was stranded. Disabling the AA positions made it possible to get aircraft into the area. Winning hearts and minds has established relationships with the local population allowing US troops to close in. Now Red Hare is the only foundation the GSIM has left in the region.Mission:
Past midnight, at 0200, WarEagles will be tasked with assaulting this stronghold "OBJ Red Hare". They will be flown in by 3CAB and fast-rope to the ground for swift insertion. Widowmakers will make their way on foot to the enemy stronghold and engage in close quarters combat to clear the area. There is one major enemy outpost between the located LZs and Red Hare, it is up to the situation on the ground to attack it before proceeding to Red Hare. Causing premature ruckus may make it harder to gain an initial foothold. Knocking it out first may reduce the chance of counter attacks from that direction. One-Eyed MUST be extracted ALIVE. He may have extremely valuable information pertaining the capture of US troops during his assault on the Agadez drone base. Additionally, from past intel it is possible that the regional doctor is also being held captive against his will to provide medical care to wounded enemies. Once captured, local GSIM troops may retaliate and turn it into a battle to the death as they have nowhere left to go. Widowmakers is to occupy the enemy fortress and defend it from any counter attacks. Following previous missions, CAS and IDF can only be requested on locations with complete visibility to eliminate collateral damage.Intel:
