Happy Independence Day!
Known as the Fourth of July a federal Holiday for the United States commemorating the adoption of Declaration of independence on July 4th, 1776, from the British rule. The Continental Congress voted on the 2nd the official declaration was made on the 4th establishing the United States of America.
From fireworks to barbeques, festivities, celebrations, parades and family gathering while also reflecting the nation's history and principles. Independence Day is the national day of the United States in addition to private events the history, government and traditions.
The founding fathers' delegates of the second Continental Congress declared that the Thirteen Colonies wanted their own freedom and were now united free, and independent states. Congress voted to approve independence by passing the lee resolution on July 2nd and then adopted the declaration the 4th.
The Lee resolution agreed on the 2nd in the handwriting of Charles Thomas, secretary of the continental congress. Twelve colonies voted for Independence while New York abstained. The resolution is named for Richard Henry Lee of Virginia, who proposed it to congress after receiving instruction and wording from the Fifth Virginia Convention and its President Edmund Pendelton. Lees full resolution had three parts which were considered by congress on June 7th, 1776, as well with the independent issue it also proposed to establish a plan for ensuring American foreign relations and to prepare a plan for of a confederation for the states to consider. Congress decided to address each of these three parties separately.
In 1777, thirteen gunshots were fired in salute, once at morning and once again as evening fell, on July 4th in Bristol Rhode Island. Ships in port were in port decked red, white, and blue bunting. Among the years like Benjamin Franklin and John Adams held a dinner for their fellow Americans in Paris. This was just the starting period for America in 1776, and here we anow July 4th, 2025, two hundred forty-nine years to this date.
