For exemplary dedication and service to First Squad during Operation Egyptian Collapse, the CPL first joined Scorpions just before the deployment began, he quickly found his footing when it came to medical assistance within the squad quickly obtaining his CLS Qualification and very shortly after obtaining his 68W Qualification. He very quickly moved into the Squad Medic position where he has continued to show dedication and skill when it comes to keeping his Squad well treated and trained on the latest ways to do medical including helping out the new CLS members of the teams with Kits and how to optimize soldier’s downtime when injured. Being quick to lend a hand to other squads as well as Platoon sized MASCAS Events, CPL C.Hillard with his 100% attendance to this deployment he is Thee reliable Squad Medic when you need him. The CPL has shown time and time again how crucial he is for the Squad and is always very reliable.

During a CLS class in October, both instructors lost internet connection due to Steam issues. Before FIG Leadership could respond, CPL C. Hillard noticed his squad members still in the server and immediately stepped up to lead. Using his prior training, he successfully guided the students through the KAT medical systems and followed all SOPs with confidence. When FIG Leadership arrived, they found the class in capable hands. CPL Hillard’s initiative and leadership ensured training continued smoothly and set a strong example for his peers. For his actions, CPL Hillard is awarded the Joint Service Commendation.

During Mission Scorpion, CPL Hillard showed excellence in the Squad Medic position through efficiency and quick thinking. During the assault of the large town just before the airfield, 1st Squad had encountered a mass amount of enemy infantry as well as multiple tanks which led to a mass casualty event for the squad. Many members were down and more were severely injured in the large fire fight. While only 4 members of the squad remained, the CPL quickly designated a temporary CCP for the Bravo Team and Squad Leader who were down, working with the CLS to stabilize the 3 members who were down in the close vicinity. As soon as those patients were stabilized the CPL led a push towards Alpha team who was down to their last man in the fire fight a little over 100 meters away. The CPL pushed through enemy fire and then rendered aid to the 2 casualties of Alpha Team while the last remaining member of that team provided cover fire. Due to the CPL’s quick actions and medical knowledge efficiently and quickly getting 1st Squad back into action. Without his help there is a good chance 1st Squad could have been captured and killed.

During the month of August, SPC Hillard has gone above and beyond in ensuring the success of First Squad’s CLS personnel. Through his own efforts he has repeatedly tweaked and perfected the items and kits that the CLS personnel have access to. SPC Hillard took on this feat on his own accord to ensure both fireteams are ready and well equipped for any medical situation that may arise. His experience in the field has given him great knowledge of what equipment they can and will be using the most, while also giving the CLS personnel good strategy and tips to help them become more efficient in the field.

During Mission Sparta, SPC Hillard during the battle for “Hot Route 1” each step through the chaotic fight into the Embassy battered the understaffed 1st squad without the efforts and medical expertise of SPC C.Hillard would have been unable to continue their bloodied advance to the Embassy and secure “Hot Route 1”. SPC C.Hillard efforts allowed for 1st squad to open a route for the entirety of 1st Platoon to push into the objective area and begin its task of evacuating Embassy personnel. His training allowed for 1st Squad personnel to quickly get back into the fight and take advantage of the collapsing enemy defenses as they assaulted through to the Embassy. Even during all this SPC C.Hillard found time to break off from his squad and help in the efforts of dealing 3rd Squad’s Mascas event, running into 2nd Squad’s Mascas on his way to 3rd’s, stopping and assisting with this Mascas before moving onto 3rd Squad’s.

During the month of June, SPC Hillard transferred into the Squad Medic role absolutely flawlessly, rising to the heightened stress and needed performance well. SPC C.Hillard dedication to Scorpions and his craft is without match, constantly training with CPL D.Schneider. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, on multiple occasions his work has bailed 1st Squad out of Mascas’s and gotten men back into the fight promptly. Allowing the Element to return to combat in assisting 1st Platoon's Combat Missions. Without his work Scorpions would not be where they are today. |

During Shaping Operation 1, PFC Hillard was the only CLS in first squad and did not have backup due to lack of a squad medic, leading to many instances where he was very busy with patching up wounds that first squad suffered from during the patrol. During several large firefights the PFC was able to keep all of First Squad alive and patched up, handling saline infusions and assisting with downed teammates, despite being a newer member to the squad. The PFC played a crucial role in putting his squad before anything and doing his duty to keep the rest of the team in the fight. Thanks to the PFC’s hard work and dedication First Squad did not suffer a single casualty while on patrol through both points of interest that they were tasked to clear. Without his help, First Squad would have been much slower and less combat effective to assist Third Squad with clearing both points of interest.
