Chief Warrant Officer 2 Tracey has shown over the past, nearly, 2 years that he is a competent, dedicated, and professional pilot. Chief Tracey has flown numerous combat missions in Operation Crimson Sand and Operation Northern Lights, in these missions he has supported the efforts of the ground forces within the 3rd Infantry Division by flying insertions, exfils, and resupply requests. Chief Tracey most recently, during Mission Santa’s Delivery in Operation Northern Lights, was tasked with flying in 3 resupply crates at once and he did so successfully while taking mass amounts of accurate small arms fire to his aircraft, the 3 resupply crates were dropped at the DZ Bullets accurately allowing 1st Platoon “Widowmakers” to fend off the ongoing attack.

For exceptionally meritorious service as a pilot conducting heavy lift operations in support of combat operations from May 5th 2024 to Present. Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joshua Tracey, United States Army, distinguished himself through outstanding performance and unwavering dedication while operating the CH-47 Chinook helicopter in support of Operation Northern Lights. His exceptional airmanship and leadership during critical missions significantly enhanced the effectiveness of ground forces and contributed to the success of the overall campaign. Throughout this period, CW2 Tracey executed numerous heavy lift operations under challenging and hostile conditions. His meticulous planning and flawless execution enabled the timely transport of vital supplies, equipment, and personnel to remote and frontline locations. Despite facing adverse weather and enemy threats, he demonstrated remarkable skill and composure, ensuring mission accomplishment while prioritizing the safety of his crew and those on the ground. CW2 Tracy's commitment to excellence was further exemplified during an urgent resupply mission when he successfully delivered critical ammunition and medical supplies to a besieged unit, directly impacting their operational capability and morale. These two individuals joined the 21Y team in the last month of the second quarter of the year, but have shown their worth during the third quarter by quickly picking up the needed skills to do uniform updating. With their asking of questions about the uniforms, they learned more and more about how uniforms are made and what to look for when needed. These qualities are what keeps the professionalism of the DMOS and the Staff Shop high.
