For valorous achievement during combat operations on 16 November 2025, Specialist McIntosh distinguished himself while serving with 2nd Squad “Ghosts” in the search and destroy mission against enemy encampments at OBJ Granite and OBJ Deepslate. Under conditions of high threat from enemy mechanized forces, indirect fire, and IEDs, McIntosh displayed decisive action and personal courage that ensured the success of his squad’s mission. By calling out an enemy element, numbering three squad that was trying to flank his element, With his own element pinned down by pervious mentioned threats SPC N.McIntosh rushed through enemy fire to man the line against this flanking element alone, singlehandedly holding them back with his AR while the rest of the squad dealt with the Mechanized forces, he managed to take out at least two of the squads before sustaining wounds that rendered him combat ineffective, these actions prevented any casualties and guaranteed the successful outcome of his squad’s mission. His initiative and steadfast performance under fire reflect great credit upon himself, The 3rd Infantry Division, and the United States Army.

During the month of July, Specialist McIntosh distinguished himself by stepping into the role of Alpha Fire Team Leader while his Fire Team Leader was acting as Squad Leader. Despite having only recently returned to the unit, Specialist McIntosh performed his duties well above his rank with outstanding professionalism, competence, and initiative. His leadership and commitment to mission success were further demonstrated by his willingness to host squad drills in the absence of his leaders.
