During Mission Geode, while responding to a fireteam under attack, SPC Hudson's Humvee was ambushed with RPG and small arms fire. After assessing the situation, he found his leadership critically wounded by an RPG, and his new squadmate also injured. Quickly, he radioed for support, then, under intense enemy fire, he advanced toward a squad of enemy combatants. Using his machine gun and smoke grenades for concealment, he suppressed the enemy, creating an opening to rescue his wounded leadership. Hudson took command, ordering his new squadmate on the .50 caliber machine gun to cover him, enabling a coordinated advance. Despite sustaining injuries himself, SPC Hudson carried his leadership to the Humvee, loaded him for evacuation, then fled the area for help. SPC Hudson's actions epitomize the Army Values of Loyalty, Selfless Service, Integrity, and Personal Courage. His heroic actions far exceeded the call of duty, warranting the award of this ARCOM w/V device.

During Mission Geode while doing recon on his next objective, Hudson's squad got pinned down and heavily engaged by an enemy MG Truck. The squad wasn't able to get anti tank rounds off due to a member of the squad getting mortally wounded. Hudson, without thinking of his safety, decided to show the local terrorists that his Machine gun was scarier. Hudson then ran up to a vantage point and immediately engaged the MG truck. The terrorists began to fire at Hudson's position striking him. Hudson didn't let this affect him and began having a 1 vs 1 with an MG truck. By Hudson taking the fire off of his squad, medics were able to secure the wounded soldier and began lining up for an AT shot. Before his squad's MAAWS gunner could get a round off, Hudson won his 1v1 causing the MG truck to evacuate from the area quickly. By Hudson not thinking for himself, but instead selflessly engaging a MG Truck to a duel and winning, allowing his squad to survive and complete the mission.

Since his reenlistment he has gone through a dramatic change during this deployment. He left his comfort zone of being in a medical role and decided to be his fire team's Auto Riflemen where he was needed. Immediately he hit the ground running by understanding his job and supporting his team in any situation. Hudson has also been critiquing his performances after every OP, and giving possible ideas on how he can be more combat effective before leadership can. For his attitude, aptitude and proactivity, he is being awarded an AAM.

Hudson and Allen have been developing at a strong pace, showing an admirable willingness to learn and participate in discussions during squad drills, providing a fresh perspective and learning from more experienced members from the squad as well. In addition, they are both always eager and happy, even when missions aren’t going so smoothly. Through their ability to uplift the squad, and by demonstrating an excellent example of a soldier willing to put in the effort to improve themselves, they are being awarded this AAM.

With OP IPA being his first operation the private blew away expectations of his leadership, by immediately hitting the ground running by communicating with his squad medic and quickly becoming accustomed to Ace medical. With having barely any experience in arma he quickly figured out his role and fit right in with his squad. During a mass casualty event. Hudson, with no guidance from leadership, began triaging patients he stumbled across. Even though the amount of injuries that the patient's hudson outpaced his abilities, he didn't let that stop or demoralize him. He continued communicating effectively with the most senior man until other resources arrived to help him.
