Congratulations to the soldiers of Ranger School ( 3rd ID ) 25-02 for their successful completion of the school

Ranger School is completely voluntary and open to U.S. military personnel from all branches and any military occupational specialties ( MOS ) as well as select international students.

Ranger School is one of the most challenging courses in the United States Army. It was designed to develop leadership skills and functional tactics for the soldier. The school has been relatively unchanged since it's beginnings back in 1950 at Fort Benning, Georgia.

The course consists of 3 main phases, Darby, Mountain and Swamp with Darby consisting of small unit tactics, land navigation, and physical fitness. Each student learns to operate under stress

and to develop leadership skills in a controlled environment. As the soldiers progress through the course the stress level is increased and their leadership skills are tested.

At the course end each soldier that was able to complete every phase receives the RANGER TAB and knows that he/she has learned invaluable skills for serving in combat roles HOOAH !
