Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on June 14, 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The United States Army also celebrates the U.S. Army Birthdays on this date; Congress adopted "the American continental army" after reaching a consensus position in the Committee of the Whole on June 14, 1775.

In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.

So wave your flag high honor the land you stand on!

Over 242 years ago, the Continental Army was founded. The Continental Army was formed by the Second Continental Congress after the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War by the colonies that became the United States of America. Established by a resolution of the Congress on June 14, 1775, it was created to coordinate the military efforts of the Thirteen Colonies in their revolt against the rule of Great Britain. The Continental Army was supplemented by local militias and troops that remained under control of the individual states or were otherwise independent.

Today, we honor our heritage. The US Army has come a long way since its birth and it continues to improve with time. Here's to another year soldiers! Hooah!

Ranger School

June 10th, 2017

Ranger School teaches members leadership skills in a 12-hour high intensity course. The first phase of the Ranger School was an introduction and explanation of the mission along with a quick training on the procedures and tactics that were expected and utilized to complete the objectives. Once the training phase was over, the mission started with setting up the camp one hour after midnight and guarding the camp/going on patrols during the 9 hours night. The course ended with 2 hours of intensive combat shortly paused for briefings between missions.

Congratulations to our soldiers who promoted one of the hardest courses organised by a Realism Gaming Unit:

The 6th of June was D-Day!

Otherwise known as Operation Neptune of the Normandy Landings, Tuesday the 6th of June 1944 that the Allied Forces made their beachhead on the shores of Normandy France in World War 2.

We celebrate this day for the memory of those who fell in the advance of liberating Europe from the tyrannical rule of the Nazi Party. Although many died, the objective was achieved and a foothold was made for the liberation of first France and then all of Europe.

We must never forget the brave people of America, Britain, and Canada who put their lives on the line that day to do this awe inspiring feat of bravery against overwhelming odds.

So in closing, please take a moment to reflect on this achievement and if you know anyone living or dead who was at D-Day, pay your respects with flowers if dead or a hug if alive.

Thank you.
