Situation
This week, First Platoon needs to patrol an Area northeast of the AO where the Prime Minister of Lithuania Rolandas Šimonytė is going to visit civilians who’ve been caught in the current conflict. Our Intel, that has been confirmed by the important amount of POW, has shown us that the enemy is going to launch an attack on the area to try and capture or kill the Prime Minister. While the US Army Patrol the Northeast, the Lithuanian are going to work on the Northwestern part of the AO. The area will be filled with civilians that might or might not cooperate with our forces.
Mission
Alpha Company "War Eagles", First Platoon "Widowmakers" needs to make sure and find any possible Russian separatist cell, depot, vehicles or build up of enemy infantry and destroy them to safeguard the visitor. The area is vast, so Intel decided to split the petrol into “Priority” and “secondary” patrol objectives.
- Move into the AO, patrol mandatory “Priority patrol objectives”, leaving no stone unturned in those objectives.
- If times allow, patrol as many “Secondary patrol objectives” as possible.
- Evacuating the area, Lithuanian government does not want US troops to be filmed during an official Lithuanian political event. We will be stationed back at the FOB and wait for further tasking. (End of mission^).
Limit the use of destructive devices as much as possible. The area is still populated and rubbles would be favorable for Russian separatists to plant IEDs. PID targets before engaging them, it is of critical importance.
