Situation
Last week, Prime minister of Lithuania Rolandas Šimonytė visited the major city of Kaaranmännikkö in a Russian Separatist controlled area to bring support to the local population. Since then, we’ve lost contact with him. UAV recon and satellite imagery has shown that Russian Separatist received a large amount of equipment from the black market, most likely fueled by the Russian MOD. According to ground reconnaissance, most of the Russian separatists assets were hidden in the dense forest of the Northwestern part of the AO, and it is from there that the separatists launched their operation that completed two objectives : First, capturing prime minister Rolandas Šimonytė. Second, taking control of the large city of Kaaranmännikkö. Local informant and intel extracted from POWs also point to a local commander who might know the location of Rolandas Šimonytė. It is critical that we capture this officer.
Mission
First platoon will be tasked with multiple objectives.
First, it will be required for First Platoon "Widowmakers" to reinforce OBJ MEADOW and OBJ GRASSLAND, two small villages that we went past last week, the enemy is counter-attacking those positions in order to slow down the US army progression to the North. According to intel, they are pushing with a lot of equipment and manpower. Most likely to buy time for their unit in the North to secure the Prime Minister of Lithuania. Nonetheless, we need to secure that flank.
Afterward, First Platoon will move to objective Daisy, where an enemy officer, Vytautas Klimas, codename “Iron Claw” has been seen. We think that he might be behind the abduction since he is the highest ranking officer known to be located in the area . Klimas must be captured or killed if capture is impossible.
After clearing objective DAISY, First platoon will move to objective STRAW while clearing the main road of enemy forces. Inside the objective STRAW, first platoon will try to locate prime minister Rolandas Šimonytė, secure and extract him. If he cannot be located, first platoon must find as much intel as possible to triangulate his location.
