    Patrol #17

    Situation

After securing Petrovka Nuclear Power Plant and neutralizing a Russian reconnaissance outpost north of the Chernarus airport, Alpha Company began digging in at a forward position captured during the mission. NATO forces, including the Lithuanian Iron Wolf Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Turkish 3rd Armored Brigade, and Canadian 2nd Mechanized Brigade Group, are forming to conduct a massive counter-attack against Russian forces north of the airport.

Leaders of the European Union have responded angrily to reports that a tactical nuclear missile was recovered from Russian forces by US Army Rangers. NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg warned that Moscow is placing Europe on the brink of mass destruction.

In Moscow, Russian President Putin denied that Russian forces had any nuclear missiles outside the country, stating the country’s atomic arsenal was strictly defensive in nature. He went on to accuse Lithuania of staging photos and video of a Tochka missile launcher by using a surplus Soviet model armed with a conventional fragmentation warhead.

The Russian 237th Tank Regiment and 2x under-strength infantry battalions of the 252nd Guards Motor Rifle Stalingrad-Korsun Regiment hold the mountain highway leading into Chernarus County. However, the Russian supply line is showing signs of collapse. No further Russian vehicles have crossed the county line in several days, and the enemy has seemingly abandoned several depots north of our area of operations.

    Mission

S-2 has uncovered detailed intelligence on the enemy forces remaining in Chernarus County. Russian President Putin has personally ordered 3rd Motor Rifle Division commander Major General Sergei Yakov to hold the line in Chernarus County, allegedly threatening a court martial if he or his forces retreat. MG Yakov has been designated an HVT for capture by NATO HQ.

Alpha Company is ordered to patrol east of the MSR leading north out of the county. While NATO armor and mechanized infantry elements conduct a drive north from the airport, make contact with Russians positions at OBJs Adze, Bulldozer, and Crusher to divert enemy forces from the main allied push.

    1. OBJ Adze is a forward position supporting Russian armor in the area. In addition to troops, it contains a supply depot with fuel, weapons, and ammo.

    2. OBJ Bulldozer is a Russian communications position with radio and satellite network hubs. The position is the center of 3rd Motor Rifle Division communications.

    3. OBJ Crusher is a Russian defensive strongpoint overwatching the highway leading into Chernarus County. Destroy this position to drive enemy forces out of the area.
