    Event details

    Sudden Lodos

    Situation

Alpha Company “War Eagles” has deployed to the Turkish island of Bozcaada, located off the country’s Mediterranean coast. Known predominantly for tourism, the small island has been overrun by ISIS forces moving in from northwestern Syria after the jihast collapse in Çukurca. Turkish National Guard and local police units maintain a small presence in the military base and the capital city of Merkez, but the remainder of the area is effectively in enemy hands. Locals are reporting mass kidnappings and murders by ISIS forces as terrorists consolidate their gains.

3rdID is ordered to assist NATO forces in recapturing Bozcaada, capturing and/or destroying all ISIS forces, and providing aid to the local population until security is re-established.

    Mission

Alpha Company “War Eagles” is ordered to secure the area south of the Bozcaada military base. Turkish National Guard units reported a heavy ISIS presence in the national guard camp (OBJ Sentinel) and the village (OBJ Watchman) along the island’s southwestern coast. This has been confirmed by NATO IFC, which has proof of armored vehicles and heavy weapons are deployed in the vicinity of the military base.

First Platoon “Widowmakers” is tasked with capturing the 2x objectives and eliminating ISIS forces and materiel therein.

Second Platoon “Griffins” is tasked with reconnoitering the 2x objectives prior to the assaults. Identify and mark armored and other targets for ground and aviation to destroy. Provide a security screen for the main force and eliminate secondary enemy forces if encountered.

3CAB “Falcons” is tasked with transport, logistics, and CAS duties as required. Assist recon elements with scouting and engage armored targets per FO or if fired upon.
