After action report

Objectives:

Patrol 10 POI's in AO

Accidents:

PFC Pearson KIA - Suicide bomber inside building

Areas of Strength:

Squad Comms and vic movement. Good teamwork between 1st and 2nd squads

Areas of Weakness:

Security could have been better but it wasn't terrible watching for traps inside buildings

Suggested Improvements:

Having one selected SM from squad be given Engineer Perms to alleviate shade from having to do absolutely everything for the platoon. That will also make Time on Target alot quicker

Overall Outcome:

Positive

Summary:

Stepped off from FOB in choppers to LZ

Got into Strykers at the LZ and stepped off towards first POI

Went through a sea of rocks causing convoy to shit itself

Hit first POI quickly and pushed through to 2nd

2nd POI went well attacked it quickly and set in security

From then we broke the platoon up and ghosts stuck with 1st squad

Ghost got to the PL first and sent up a recon to the next POI

1st and 2nd attacked the POI together and cleared it effectively

Narrowly survived a IED attached to a ammo cache  

Pushed out to next PL but got ambushed by RPG teams

got the Stryker disabled assaulted through the ambush and got the vic repaired 

linked up with first and plt vic and moved to next POI

knocked out mortar teams and took out the POI

Mass Cas on the POI due to IED inside the building 

From that point we moved to regroup with the rest of the PLT and exfilled
