    Objectives

    • Practising Cold Landing Zones/Pick up Zones; Tight spaces in between streets and awkward positions, and large open areas.
    • Hot Landing/Pick up Zones;Live fire exercises/strong enemy forces present for extractions. 

    Accidents

    2 x UH-60 Blackhawk destroyed during the Cold LZ/PZ in tight spaces, 1 x UH-60 Blackhawk destroyed during the Hot LZ/PZ w/ enemy forces present.

    Areas of Strength

    Diversity of flight planning/flight paths when planning movement from each Landing Zone/FARP Station, Successfully turning a crash landing during live fire exercises into SERE training.

    Areas of Weakness

    Increase aircraft orbit and height when conducting flybys of an area, attendance needs some improvement; several soldiers excused with other soldiers assisting personnel outside of 3CAB.

    Suggested Improvements

    Ability to conduct Cold LZ/PZ without destroying airframes.
