Areas of Strength
- Good learning experience for the squad;
- All proposed topics were covered in classroom sections and applied on dry runs e live fire exercices;
- Team has the great habit of discussing and expanding over the concepts learned and do reviews after each run of the exercises.
Areas of Weakness
- Despite the team knowing how to perform most procedures and commands, the basics procedures like reacting to enemy contact and bounding movement aren't executed on "automatic" or as a second nature.
Suggested Improvements
- Keep drilling fundamentals and the most used Battle Drills until they are "hard coded" into the team's behavior. The team is having a good learning experience with detailed class room sections and repetitive drills designed to work very specific aspects with a discussion of what went wrong and what was done properly after every run. This method seems to be more a efficient learning tool if compared to the usual model of doing a class room section and then do a "mini-mission" that tries to force the team to use the topics discussed on the first part of the drill.
