Objectives
Establish Company operations base at FOB Sentinel; occupy Checkpoint Omega; and patrol the countryside south-southeast of the FOB. After an enemy attack on the FOB, subsequent orders set OBJ Foot, a separatist camp, for attack and destruction.

Areas of Strength
Communications: Voice and radio comms were well-executed and effective, illustrating threats, calling targets, and coordinating maneuvers. Movement: Mounted and dismounted forces supported each other and covered a large area very quickly. React to contact: Soldiers identified and engaged enemy vehicles and positions with pronounced violence of action.
Areas of Weakness
Intervals: You must spread it out 20m or more between men under fire; and remember that separatist heavy machinegunnners, mortarmen, and IED detonators love bunched up groups of Soldiers.
Suggested Improvements
Infantry would benefit from ongoing training in formations and spacing.
Mission Summary
First Platoon moved from FOB Sentinel south to CP Omega. Establishing positions controlling the flow of traffic through the 4-way intersection at Omega, Squads split up to patrol the surrounding villages. Soldiers built rapport with numerous civilians and also located and destroyed several weapons caches. Second Squad made contact with a separatist cell in Patrol Area Griffin, destroying a motorized infantry section.
At this time, Falcon 6 radioed that the FOB was under attack and called for QRF. First Platoon mounted up and moved quickly back to base and engaged the attacking forces. A 3CAB drone identified a separatist camp west of the FOB. After blunting the enemy attack and securing our base, Widowmakers counterattacked west, destroying the camp. Soldiers recovered several pieces of intel for S-2 to process.
