We should try to maintain spacing during convoys.
Also, what is important and what we, as 1st Squad discussed yeasterday after the operation. We should implement "Forward Observer" tactics. Basically, we should have people who can call for mortar fire, who can call for air support more. Because during last operation we got hit multiple times from the last objective SeaBass. With mortar or air support he could've save soldiers lifes and time plus get better advantages avoer enemies.
What is also important - we should use Stryker's smoke screens, if we have ones - I don't know how to use it, we tried everything. This can also help during assaults and breaking contact situations.
Also, I think we should have someone, not only SL, who can repair vehicles.
Mission Summary
On our way to the first objective, 1st platoon got under fire from gas station. We opened fire and station was destroyed, I don't know who's fault was it but we managed to go through without casualties. After that 1st squad set on the road and waited for the 3rd squad to get to their op position. During firefight 2nd Squad got hit hard and their Stryker was burning, with help of PFC Byrd, we managed to to save them all. Than we moved to the bridge but we got hit by rpg, I orderred my team to get out because we lost our engine and stryker was on fire. PFC Byrd was still inside and with help of SSG Vandle we managed to get him out and save him. During this situation Scorpions almost lost 2 soldiers to rpg, enemy fire and to fire from butning Stryker. After we repaired Stryker, we moved across and set op. After command from SSG Winters 1st Squad moved into the town and helped other squads to clear it out. Several soldiers were injuredbut we survived. Than we moved to Dismount Point Yankee. We encountered 1 civilian vehicle and a tractor. After we moved into the objective Minnow, local militia guy asked us to leave and started pointing his gun at fire team. We had to handcuff him. After that we got order from SSG WInters to release him and to move to RP Black. On RP Black we got hit from east(OP Delta) there was an enemy camp. We started suppressing it. After that we moved to our observation position but we got hit again, still we managed to deal with another enemy group with help of 4th squad. After we established OP position we got hit by TAW(Kornet) missile. Stryker was damaged again but we repaired it. We assaulted the next opjective without serious problems. During our assault we got order to assist 3rd and 4th Squads. We moved there but got hit by a tank. Stryker was damaged but still we menaged to repair ir and we moved on to the 3rd and 4th Squads. On their position we assisted them with medical. We had problems with enemy tanks and btr's/bmp's. That's where we could use mortars or air support. After that we got hit by Korner rocket, Stryker got hit. Engine was red but we repaired with no problems. During our assault we had serious casualties. We got orders to break contact. We moved back to FOB. We hit 1 ambush plus 1 IED.
