Mission Summary
2nd squad ghosts set off and moved to OBJ Ashflow and initiated an assault on the north side, as the squad was assaulting with 4th squad a enemy unmanned aircraft was spotted and eliminated with a stinger, from there 2nd squad pushed in and started clearing the town discovering an unmanned t-72 and encountering a manned one, the active t-72 fired multiple shells into our lines resulting in a mass cas that was resolved with the help of Widowmaker doc, after that we reorganized and fought through clearing the objective. Just before the convoy was organized, the squad ran into a civilian looting the corpses of dead American soldiers, he was repeatedly ordered to drop the equipment and leave the area, which he did not comply with, after several warning shots had been fired he started moving towards the platoon vehicles and was neutralized. From there the squad moved and pushed across a bridge and moved to our assault position and started pushing in to a compound there, we met some resistance in the form of a Squad sized infantry element and a BMP. This was quickly eliminated and pushed into the airfield. We discovered multiple hangars and started clearing them, while moving down we overheard a enemy helicopter spooling up so we moved in and destroyed it, unfortunately the cook off hit a lot of bravo team and we had to administer aid on them. Once the squad re-organized and pushed across the airfield, we took out a bunker system and moved to establish a blocking position. We took heavy contact there and as our alpha team was guarding an objective. Bravo team got wiped and suffered multiple KIAs. Then a quick organization effort was made and after a heavy firefight the platoon RTBed.
