Situation
As we saw last week, even simple tasks such as establishing FOB's is becoming difficult from the constant pressure of the North Vietnamese Forces. We are learning their fight for the neighboring cities is going to be more difficult then originally predicted. We will continue to focus our efforts in the remaining cities prior to moving out to the jungles.
With major resistance, Alpha Company is being redirected to focus efforts on concentrated attacks on the enemy strongholds. With the current success of the U.S Forces, we expect stiff resistance as we progress further into enemy controlled territory.
Mission
Alpha Company, 1-30th Infantry Regiment is ordered to continue to secure the surrounding area and prioritize the regions of Da Ning and Hue. These are the remaining two cities prior to movement to the west and north. We will establish FOB's near enemy objectives and then push out forces from there to secure those Objectives. Operations will be centralized.
General Instructions
- Teams will have at minimum 5 personnel in order to be assigned tasks in the AO (armor and 3CAB are excluded from this rule).
- Each team will have at least 1 medic and 1 Radio operator (with a long range Radio) in them in order to maximize our capabilities.
- There will only be 3 personnel allowed to operate in the FO role in the DLC.
- Infantry members are allowed to go to 3CAB and vice versa as long as the leadership of both elements approves (maximum 3 at any time for balancing reasons).
- All tasks will be handed out by the Platoon or Company Leadership. Tasks include securing an area, establishing a FOB, resupplying a FOB, and defending an area.
Special Instructions
There are no limits or loadout restrictions. Just the requirement of a medic and radio operator per team.
