Situation:
Due to recent events in the Agadez region, the GSIM saw a boost in it’s numbers and equipment. Multiple tribal leaders pledged allegiance to the GSIM, in the fear of the US Presence in the area.Mission:
First Platoon is tasked with reconing an area for an enemy armed convoy consisting of BTRs, BMPs, and numerous technicals. Once found, and positively identified as hostile, First Platoon is to move in, and destroy any armed vehicles along with any Fuel and Ammo Caches in its vicinity. Due to the uncertainty of civilian presence, the use of any explosive devices is forbidden, unless absolutely necessary. If any civilian captives are found, and are willing to cooperate with US Forces, they are to be transported back to FOB Silver Shield for questioning and subsequent release.Intel:
(a) SURROUNDING AREA: It is believed that the GSIM is using an old settlement as their temporary hideout camp. Numerous civilian settlements in the area, along with a trading settlement owned by one of the tribal leaders. According to our intelligence, his tribe is currently neutral to US Forces. It is also known that one civilian trading convoy is passing through the area, possibly being stationed in the trading settlement.
