Situation:
After the success of mission Shifting Sands last week, US Military intelligence was able to collect data on the two US Soldiers taken hostages. Mokthar Belmokthar, “The One Eyed” handed the hostages to Seydan Ag Hita, a Malian deserter, who’s the leader of the Katiba Youssef Ibn Tachfin, a GSIM division composed mainly of well trained Malian deserters. Last known location of the two US hostages is the Mopti region, in central Mali. The 3rd Infantry Division will be deployed to the Mopti Region following their success near the Agadez Airbase. The area is known to be highly prolific in GSIM forces, using the jungle and villages to hide.Mission:
First platoon will be tasked with securing the immediate area north of FOB Dr.Jones. GSIM has been skirmishing the FOB using the surrounding jungles. We also got reports that the GSIM is occupying the major city of Danashiwa (OBJ Liberation), west of FOB Dr.Jones. The village of Maiwa (OBJ Haystack) is also under GSIM Hands. Jungles need to be swept in order to find and destroy possible GSIM forces using it as a starting point for skirmishes. Intel suggests possible IEDs along the road, civilian presence within cities and the use of stolen military heavy weaponry by the GSIM.Intel:
