Despite the Afghan Civil War of 1975, the dwindling nation has seen war for thousands of years, however, in recent years, this nation has had the boots of Russian Soldiers in the 1980s, as well as the U.N. in 2001 following the 9/11 Terrorist attacks. While in the War on Terror, multiple major and minor Forward Operation Bases(FOBs), Combat Outposts(COPs), and Listening Posts/Observation Posts(LP/OP) have been constructed such as Camp Leatherneck, Camp Bastion, COP Keating, and COP Arena. Following the Afghan evacuation of 2021, most of these bases are either de-constructed or under the control of the Afghan Nation Army(ANA).
