Veteran's Day 2020
Reported By K.Skitz
On this day, November 11, the United States along with most other countries acknowledge the service and sacrifice of our men and women in the Armed Services. Veteran’s Day began on November 11, 1919 in honor of those who served and died during World War One. During this time November 11 was labeled as Armistice Day but during 1954 the day to honor those was renamed to Veteran’s Day to more formally include those who have served beyond World War One.
We here at the 3rd Infantry Division would like to personally thank those who are serving and who have served prior for defending our nation’s values. Freedom isn’t free. Countless men and women have served and sacrificed for their nation in order for you to live your everyday life the way you want to.
Thank you, Service Members! Here’s to another year for our warriors!
