      Prior to the start of FTX 11 this past Sunday, Major LaFlash announced a leadership change in the Third Infantry Division’s aviation detachment. The following Soldier has been promoted to:


      Officer Candidate Danny Elio - Brigade Commander, 3CAB

      Moving up from Executive Officer, he has taken control of the detachment and entered Officer Candidate School in preparation for a Commission. With a lengthy background in Army aviation, Officer Candidate Elio is bringing his real world skills to the Third in order to improve 3CAB operations and capabilities. Taking charge of the Warrant Officer Candidate School and Crew Chief training program, he is working with his Soldiers to build the Brigade up to its full potential.

      Although there is plenty of work to do, at the end of the day, OCS Elio wants to ensure his men enjoy their time here. Looking back to his combat deployment to Afghanistan, he said, “Life's too short to be too serious.”
