1. SITUATION

Almost five years into the Altian Civil War, the rebel Freedom and Independence Army (FIA) is beginning to collapse. For the past two years, it has suffered one defeat after another in battles against Altian Loyalists and their NATO Coalition allies.
 
A significant FIA garrison remains on Stratis with CSAT support, utilizing the island’s airbase to launch attacks on Altis. The NATO Coalition is launching an invasion of Stratis at 1800H tonight. However, the FIA radar facilities at Air Station Mike-26 pose a substantial threat to NATO air assets. The Joint Chiefs, after consultation with Brussels, have ordered MARSOC to destroy the radar site.

2. MISSION

First Platoon will launch an amphibious raid on the radar station at OBJ Golfball. Using Pythos Island at a staging point, move by small boat south and find a covered and concealed landing zone for disembarkation. Once the site is destroyed, radio in to NATO Regional Command. Dig in and hold the station until the invasion begins. Then proceed to Camp Maxwell at OBJ Sandpit and destroy the FIA garrison stationed there.

Be advised Camp Maxwell and/or Camp Rogain may hold a QRF that may respond to the radar station once attacked. There are also 2x additional enemy LZs in the AO, allowing enemy troops to insert from Stratis Airbase. FIA and CSAT fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft operate from the airbase day and night; at least 1x MANPAD is recommended for this mission.
