Posted October 23, 2020 WARNORD 23OCT20 - Operation: Shank Redemption 1. SITUATION Last night the Commander of the Altis Armed Forces (AAF), Colonel Georgious Akhanteros, staged a military coup in Kavala. His army has seized the capital and begun to push east to attack forces loyal to the Altian civilian government. Several Altian military bases have also pledged allegiance to Akhanteros. US Ambassador Michael Ambrosia reports that Kavala has descended into chaos, with rebel forces executing civilian government officials and looters rampaging across the city. Embassy security personnel report that the facility has been under surveillance since the coup. NATO Intelligence reports that an unknown number of US Navy SEALs and downed NATO pilots have been surrounded and likely captured by AAF rebels and moved to a military prison camp northeast of Pyrgos. Sources near Pyrgos report that AAF personnel have been publicly executing captured FIA soldiers. Ambassador Ambrosia says that attempts to contact Colonel Akhanteros’ HQ have been rebuffed. The Joint Chiefs are assuming the worst and want the POWs extracted ASAP. 2. MISSION First Platoon will launch an amphibious raid on the prison camp at OBJ Angola. Using Pyrgi Island at a staging point from USS Seawolf, move by small boat north and find a covered and concealed landing zone for disembarkation. Once the POWs are secured, radio in to NATO Regional Command. Secure an LZ and await helo extract. 3. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS (a) SPECIAL TEAMS/TASK ORG 1. Posted October 23, 2020 NOTE You will need to download and install the 3rdID Steam Workshop Modpack and then connect to the R&R Server (from the Arma 3 Launcher Server tab) to finish downloading additional mods. This will likely take 2-3 hours to complete, so don't wait until the last minute! I've decided to use the new modpack to hold a kind of beta test to make sure the bugs are worked out before official release. If you have any questions about using the Steam modpack, let me know!
