Posted December 17, 2020 WARNORD 18DEC20 - Mission: Grinch 1. SITUATION It is almost Christmas in Chernarus, and the spirit of joy is in the air in spite of the Second Civil War. Free Chernarussians are preparing to celebrate tomorrow, with each family looking forward to a traditional holiday feast. Serving as advisors in NATO Task Force Goulash, we maintain our station at Camp Rivera on Joint Base Černi. The Second Chernarussian Civil War grinds on, although our recent successes with the CDF has hampered ChDKZ operations in central South Zagoria. However, addressing his subjects on TV, Chernarussian Socialist Republic president Ivan Ivanov has summarily outlawed Christmas as a bourgeois festival of fairy tales that perpetuates capitalism. He has vowed that ChDKZ forces will shoot down Santa Claus if he enters its airspace. What’s more, CDF Central Command just received a call from an agent in Stary Sobor who reports that ChDKZ forces have reoccupied the town and are building AA emplacements. 2. MISSION TF Goulash is ordered to assault Stary Sobor and destroy all AA batteries. Based on recent ChDKZ tactics, it is likely that enemy forces will conduct additional operations simultaneously.
